Founder and Director

Autor and Illustrator, Lynne Cherry, originator, producer and director of the Young Voices on Climate Change films, is well-known for her popular children’s books especially her rain forest classic, The Great Kapok Tree and her environmental history A River Ran Wild.

A Great Book on Climate Change

The Young Voices on Climate Change films were inspired by the book Lynne Cherry wrote with photojournalist Gary Braasch, How We Know What We Know About Our Changing Climate: Scientists and Kids Explore Global Warming.

Movie Screenings

The Young Voices on Climate Change films have been screened at the American Museum of Natural History during their 2009 climate exhibit and included in a workshop at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science; at a National Council on Science and the Environment workshop in Washington DC; and at a Community Conversations on Climate workshop-- a NOAA and ASTC initiative held at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, Florida: http://www.artscalendar.com/event/detail/440528796
